Absolutely not. No flying experience is required — or expected. Your FAA-certified pilot handles everything from takeoff to landing while you enjoy the view. Want to fly it yourself? Book an Introductory Flight Lesson and take the controls with a Certified Flight Instructor beside you. The flight path on an introductory flight is at the discretion of the Certified Flight Instructor at the time of the flight, who takes into account weather, scheduling and airspace requirements. If you would like to fly into New York City airspace around the Statue of Liberty, a Statue of Liberty orbit can be added to your lesson as a paid add-on. Guests of all ages and comfort levels enjoy the experience equally.
Plan to spend about 1.5 hours at the airport in total, including check-in, your pre-flight briefing, the flight and the celebration after landing. Arrive 25 minutes before your departure time.
